2.1.12

it's the end of the world...

...as we know it. Or just the end of the year. What a crazy last few weeks of 2011 it has been! So while the madness has come to an end for the moment, here's hoping twenty twelve will be even bigger and better.

a fine romance.

Romance Was Born unofficially kicked off RAFW yesterday with their striking and imaginative designs invading the Mitchell library. An orchestra, choir, and Cate Blanchett sitting front row equalled a theatrical production, with eye catching pearl encrusted outfits in their usual loveably outlandish style.

Rosemount Australian Fashion Week officially begins tomorrow, and from the looks of my diary, it's going to be a very busy week. As a freelance fashion contributor for DailyGloss, I will be covering shows, viewing accessories collections and shooting street style. I have a host of shows lined up that I'm thrilled to be attending, if just for the people watching alone. I think by Friday I'll be all fash-ed out.

colour me happy.

Don't get me wrong, I like colour. But I don't usually wear it. Except maybe turquoise blue. Otherwise my wardrobe seems to be strictly neutral. Tommy Ton's shots of Proenza Schouler's new collection are making me rethink this. Need some earthy tones stat.

winter warmer.

Flooded with images of the international autumn/ winter 2011 shows, it's hard to pick just one favourite look. So here are a few from two of my most loved designers- Rodarte and Alexander Wang. Snuggle up!
