Street art has taken over Sydney's Cockatoo Island at the Outpost arts festival. With brilliant results, we must say. A beautiful summer Saturday meant no excuses, even if the line for the ferry over was 50 metres long. Once we arrived we could spread out and wander, taking in the various artworks and installations. From graffiti walls to burnt out cars, there was something for everyone. Mainstream fans won't be disappointed by the famous Banksy prints, but those willing to explore will delight in the cardboard box city corner or the metal works of Junky Projects. Running until mid December, it's definitely worth a visit.

art vs fashion.

I love when an editorial manages to include both fashion and art. The two have been forever intertwined and it is interesting to see how different photographers and stylists interpret the relationship between the two. This recent editorial for Vision magazine is an obvious yet effective look at the interplay, the relaxed styling offset by the almost observational style of the photography.

graffiti nation.

A weekend spent in Melbourne got me a bit more appreciative of what can be done with some spray paint and stencils.
